STEP 3:  WRITING COMMENTS

Grades and Comments at the end of the trimester are entered into FAWeb, and then electronically submitted.  You have the option to print a copy for your records as well.



Comments are written in the Comment Field for the Trimester.  To enter a comment into FAWeb, please do the following:

1)  Login to FAWeb (see GC1: LOGGING IN TO FAWEB instructions for help)

2)  Click on the Gradebook Icon next to the appropriate class .

3)  Verify the current trimester (Tri I, Tri II, Tri III) from the marking column pull-down menu.

You will now see a window similar to the one below:

4)  Click in the appropriate grade column next to the student for which you want to enter a comment. (Michaela Barry in the example below)  (Please note that "Yellow" fields contain formulas and are used by the Academic Offices.)

5)  Click the "Comments" button on the far right

NOTE:  You may have to scroll right to see these buttons.



6)  Enter the comment for Michaela in the comment box. Please refer to the guidelines for writing comments from the Academic Office.

NOTE:  You can use the left and right buttons to switch to another student in that class. The student's name in the blue bar will change.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  This comment is not saved until you change to another student, or Click OK.  Please do that every 10 minutes to protect your work.  

7)  IMPORTANT:  SPELL CHECK YOUR COMMENT BY CLICKING ON THE "ABC" ICON TO THE RIGHT OF THE COMMENT BOX.

8)  Click OK when you are all done.92002_93732_0.png
(DO NOT close this window using the close box in the upper left corner, or your last comment will be lost.)

9)  Before going to the next class or exiting the program, BE SURE to press the Save Button.

10)  Click the Home button to start again with another class, or you can go directly to another class by selecting that class from the Class pull-down menu.

11)  Before you exit your gradebook, you should also click the "Save" button.5605_84129_3.png
